Bed Control Rep, PRN, Variable

Location: Piedmont Fayette Hospital

Shift: Variable Shifts; Must be able to work day, evening, night, and weekend shifts as needed.

Status: PRN (As Needed)

JOB PURPOSE:
Coordinates inpatient and observation patient room assignments in collaboration with physicians offices, Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Critical Care and Medical/Surgical floors in order to facilitate patient flow and provide optimum service to all patients and physicians. Provides efficient and appropriate utilization of beds in all areas.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate or GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous experience as a CNA, PCT, or EMT
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) years of college preferred
