Senior Financial Analyst - Physician Compensation

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Compensation Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will help to ensure the accurate and timely management of the provider compensation plans for Piedmonts employed physician group. The Senior Financial Compensation Analyst will work with department leadership to ensure provider compensation remains competitive, aligns with industry standards, and supports our organizational objectives. This position requires proactive collaboration and communication with various departments and key stakeholders and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and manage provider compensation data using Tableau.
Interpret, analyze, and implement compensation arrangements as stipulated in Provider Employment Agreements.
Complete accurate provider compensation calculations and associated payment requests within specified timelines and according to contractual terms.
Track, analyze, and communicate compensation-related insights to leadership, providing actionable recommendations for improvement and ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
Facilitate proactive and effective communication regarding provider compensation matters with relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to HR, finance, and operations on provider compensation matters. Respond to inquiries and provide explanations regarding compensation policies and practices.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and streamlining within the provider compensation function, maintaining up-to-date documentation of processes and procedures.
Assist in the design and implementation of compensation plans, policies, and procedures that align with organizational objectives, industry benchmarks, and regulatory requirements.
Analyze the impact and cost projections of provider compensation programs, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and review provider contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compensation terms.
Preparation of annual and quarterly forecasting of provider compensation budgets, monitoring budget variances, ensuring financial accountability that align with organizational goals.
Provide incentive calculations and bi-weekly provider payment uploads to payroll.
Based on provider plan details, maintain and accrue monthly provider compensation expense.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Responsible for variance analysis, strategic financial initiative modeling, budgeting, and financial trends at the department and service line level. Works collaboratively with department managers, corporate departments and other business leaders in preparing financial information. Maintains strict confidentiality with all patient, employee and company information.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in Business, Finance, Accounting or closely-related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) years of progressive work experience in a financial/operational environment.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree preferred.
Experience with database and decision support systems preferred. Experience working in a multi-entity healthcare environment.
1-2 years of experience working in provider compensation preferred.
