HR Generalist
Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Provides a wide range of HR support and advice to the entity; including offering guidance on employee terminations, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Handles employee relations matters in partnership with the HRBP and Employee Relations Manager including but not limited to time and attendance and general performance and behavioral issues.
2. Assists with employee investigations.
3. Implements, interprets and administers employee policies.
4. Supports the HR team in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
5. Prepares job descriptions and job evaluations.
6. Prepares and assist with compensation reviews.
7. Assists HRBP with coordination of the position management process. Researches issues and follows up with HRBP, Decision Support and HRIS as needed.
8. Ensures that HRIS data record is complete, accurate and timely for job data and reporting structure in PeopleSoft.
9. Trouble-shoots onsite MSS and other PeopleSoft issues and follows up as needed with HRIS.
10. Assists the HRBP with data gathering and business case development for restructures.
11. Participates as member of HR Process improvement initiatives, mapping HRBP processes, determining SLAs and ensuring understanding of processes.
12. Partners on total reward initiatives.
13. Assists with projects and coordinates activities.
14. Facilitates New Employee Orientation (NEO) for the entity.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One (1) year of professional work experience in Human Resources as a generalist/specialist with
demonstrated knowledge of HR theory and practices.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
PeopleSoft experience preferred.
