Manager - Stroke Program

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Programmatic initiatives for the stroke sub-service line and assure compliance with Primary Stroke Center certification requirements. Serves as the point of contact for stroke treatment throughout the hospital, and works collaboratively with the Stroke Committee Chairman and other key stakeholders on all stroke efforts. Functions as a clinician, an educator, a consultant and a researcher with the primary responsibility for promoting quality care for stroke patients. Coordinate and manages care of stroke patients in order to meet multiple service needs, ensure continuity of care, and eliminate fragmentation of care and services in all settings across the continuum.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a Nursing program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree and three (3) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care OR
Associates degree and five years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care.
Experience with data analysis and research required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License required.
NIHSS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree preferred.
Advanced certification in Neuroscience nursing (CNRN) or Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) preferred.
