Pharmacy Tech Automation
Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Ensures that the automated dispensing machines (ADMs) are being used efficiently and safely in the provision of pharmaceutical care to the patients as assigned. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Responsible for successful coordination, implementation and upgrades of pharmacy automation and technical solutions as assigned. Serves as subject matter expert of the product and implementation process for Pharmacy Technology and Automation Systems as assigned. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions as needed in duties of a Pharmacy Technician.
Required Hours: Full time, evening shift. 40hrs/week, 8 hr shifts x 5 evenings per week. 12:30pm-9pm. No scheduled weekends, no holidays.
Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two years of pharmacy technician practice including experience with the use of automated dispensing machines.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registration (current) required with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
PTCB Certification preferred.
